I purchased a mooncup because tampons make me itch, I also have a job that makes loo trips few and far between and have ruined many a good pair of knickers due to leakage. I have a supply of period pants, those big grey ones that wash well. I also hate the feeling of removing a dryish tampon. How miserable is all the above?? The mooncup has stopped all this, it has enhanced my life, I am a nurse and many a time grumbled under my breath that I am leaking big style whilst helping patients with their hygiene and not able to manage my own. Thank you.

Have finally resolved to use my Mooncup after purchasing it two months ago, I can honestly say it has been a resounding success. The timing was right, as my day off from work coincided with the 1st day of my period, (never good) and I am very pleased with my first attempt at using my cup. It was a big concern to me about having to use public toilet facilities going back to work next day, but so far this has been overcome easily. I had never heard of this device until my environmentally conscience work colleague told me about it earlier this year. (There was a shudder of revulsion among us girls in the office thinking - we could never do that!) However two of us resolved that we would give it go! I am so delighted with my first months trial. I wish I had known about this natural method a long time ago. I feel absolutely cheated!!

Hurrah for mooncups! I love it. Fewer cramps, shorter periods (why is this?!) and no more carrying around a bag of every size tampon and towel 'just in case'. Public toilets aren't an issue I've discovered that carrying a bottle of water really isn't a chore and if you're concerned about bacteria, get anti microbial 'buzz fresh' wipes from Ann Summers (sorry to advertise another store - maybe you could branch into them too?!)and carry them round in your mooncup bag! They're amazing and once you're used to how often you need to change them, it's far less regularly than vile tampons. However there should be a warning with them that as soon as you have one you will lecture all your friends about them, buy them as gifts for random deserving people and accost strangers in the tampon aisle in supermarkets and enlighten them on mooncups. Be warned! Thank you for creating such a fab period happy-maker! Kindest wishes

I have used the Mooncup for about a year now and I have to say how liberating the experience is! I am peri-menopausal and was experiencing vaginal dryness, pain and soreness leading to an appointment at a regional GUM clinic to find the reason. Since changing over from tampons to the Mooncup my symptoms have all but disappeared! I think that I had developed some kind of allergy to the bleaching agents used in commercial tampons, although even changing over to "greener" organic 100% cotton bleach-free ones only reduced my symptoms slightly. Now I get occasional soreness and my incidence of thrush has declined to almost nothing. The other advantage to the mooncup is that I no longer have to invest in pant liners (another source of irritation) as the mooncup is leak free. In 12 months' use I have not experience an "accident". My G.P.(male) is impressed by my findings and has started promoting the use of the Mooncup in other perimenopausal women. Oh, and another plus, we have no sanitary disposal unit where I work and now I don't have to worry about the dilemma of what to do with a used tampon - we have a sink by the loo. So, thanks so much for changing my life!

I've used the mooncup during two of my periods now and I just love it!! It has given me more freedom to move about without feeling a wet pad in my knickers. It is especially liberating during work where I don't have to take as many breaks to check that everything is alright and to change pads or tampons. The mooncup is life changing and every girl and woman should be told about it!! :)

After having children my periods were unbelievably heavy, to the point that I was quite worried about leaving the house on a couple of the days. Super plus tampons and heavy duty pads were not enough to stop leaks, and I was even nervous about my soft furnishings- no joke! Having read about the mooncup I was sceptical as I couldn't believe that it would cope with my heaviest days. So after experiencing yet another shopping trip which ended with a dash home for a complete change of clothing(!) I bought a mooncup, thinking what have I got to lose? Like so many other women on this site, I was converted from day one. No leaks at all, and on my second month of use I was even relaxed enough not to be popping to the loo every half hour to check that all was clear below! Public loos are not the challenge you may expect, as the mooncup cleans up really well with a quick wipe with toilet paper, and of course it is so discreet,as there are no more tell tale rustling wrappers (if you are coy about these things). The freedom I experience in using my mooncup is amazing, I don't have to pack my handbag like a kids nappy bag any more (pads, tampons, wipes, spare pants)and I am reassured that my mooncup is all I need for guarranteed protection from leaks through out my period. Of course the best thing about mooncups is the impact on the environment- none! (apart from the manufacturing processes about which I know nothing!) If you are still undecided, take the step and buy yourself a mooncup, you won't regret it and after one day using it you will be kicking yourself for being so sceptical.

I have been using my mooncup for about 6 months now and cannot express enough just how much I love it! I have told many friends about it and I really hope they take the plunge and give it a go. I love the fact that I am no longer contributing to horrible sanitary products in landfill sites and the sea and that I don't have to pay exorbitant prices every month for disposable products. I also feel cleaner and that my periods aren't an issue anymore. I have milder PMT than I've had for years, less cramps, shorter periods and generally feel better than I ever used to during a period. I trimmed the stem down to almost nothing and have no problems removing the cup - I just make sure I remove it over the toilet bowl so that nothing spills on the floor. I also carry wipes around with me to wipe my hands if out in public. I just wish I had known about the Mooncup years ago instead of reading about it on a tube ad months ago. I urge anyone who is having doubts to give it a go, you won't regret it!!

I have been very surprised by how easy to use and effective the mooncup is. I was a bit concerned that it might be inconvenient to use at work but it proved to be more comfortable AND reliable than using tampons or towels. Also the mooncup has given me the ideal opportunity to help our environment. Many thanks

Bought and used my mooncup last Saturday and I love love love it, like most woman I had heard about it previously and had thought to myself no way will I be using one of them!!! However after having children my periods have gone super heavy and super plus tampons dont even last an hour, with an 8 hour shift in work looming I didnt want to be nipping to loo every 5 mins, I had more recently changed my thoughts on mooncups and had been reading this site and the testimonials, so I decided to just go for it, I had no issues inserting and havent found it messy, I had one mishap where I lifted the full cup to look and somehow managed to tip it over my pyjamas LOL. I have had no leaking no dryness and no thrush as well as being kind to the environment and I'm also thinking of all the money I will save myself I was forever buying new knickers after yet again flooding this time it was clean all the way through. Thank you mooncup

The Mooncup is a revolution! I saw a sticker on a loo door at Glastonbury Festival and made myself remember the name to look up on the net when I got back to London. And I'm so glad i did! The Mooncup is SO easy to use and you dont even know its there as its so comfortable! The only concern I had was using it in public loos, as you have to make sure you dont spill it... but it was fine. I now feel like having my periods is an achievement rather than a hasstle! It got me thinking how much money companys could save not having to worry about sanitary disposal units. In a perfect world all we need is a little sink at the side to wash our little mooncup in when we go to the loo! Thanks so much! I recommend it to every woman! :)"

I absolutely love my mooncup. Some of my friends are sceptical and believe it's just some hippie nonsense (I refer to a quote from Arthur Schopenhauer, a German philosopher: "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.") but it really has changed my experience of having a period. When I go back-packing I don't have to stock up on tampons and pads at all. Even if you're worried about using it in toilet stalls where the sinks are in the public area, just take a bottle of water in with you. No fuss at all. I recommend it to women everywhere !

After my sister recommended it, I bought my mooncup 3 years ago right before I moved in with boys. Not only did it make me more confident because it's so secure, it helped me avoid the embarrassment of having to dispose of towels and tampons where the men might see (we weren't as close as we are now and it could have been a bit awkward). I swear by my mooncup and I feel even better every period knowing that I'm doing even this small part to minimise the waste I put into landfills. I'm secure in the knowledge that I won't have any stray fibres left in my body and I can move how I want in whatever clothing I want - I even go swimming with it in! In short: I LOVE MY MOONCUP!

When I first heard about the Mooncup I was a bit grossed out to be honest, which my friends find very funny to remind me! And then my friend told me about her experience with the Mooncup which answered a lot of my questions. I’ve always felt a bit guilty with the amount of sanitary rubbish I was throwing away and also felt a bit unclean when using tampons and towels. So I bought one and I’ve never looked back – it is so much better than using conventional towels and tampons that I honestly would never consider using them again. I feel much cleaner when I’m on my period and (although I sound like a bit of a hippy) I feel more in tune with my body. I used it when I went travelling and it was an absolute godsend – there was nothing I couldn’t do and it was easier than using “normal” sanitary wear. When we start our periods we are never given any other options than the standard and so it’s a scary thought to use something else. I was lucky in that I had a friend to answer all my questions and to give me tips (like taking a bottle of water with you when you go to a public loo for rinsing!) that I needed answering before I bought one – and lets face it £17.99 is a lot when you aren’t sure whether it’ll be for you. But no one that I’ve spoken to who has tried the Mooncup goes back, it’s better for the environment, it saves you money (honest, my boyfriend worked it out!), you feel cleaner and fresher and it’s really not that minging - promise. And it probably costs the same as a top from Topshop so you really haven’t got that much to lose!

The Mooncup has totally changed the way that I think about my period - for the better! Whereas before my life was a monthly slog of emptying stinky, tampon overflowing garbage cans, rooting through my bag to find that the sad tampons at the bottom had mushroomed out of their wrappers and were now rolling around in the detritus at the bottom of the bag, and staring at shelves in my bathroom cupboard that were stocked with what seemed like hundreds of boxes of tampons of varying absorbencies, now I've just got this wonderful little object that has simplified matters immensely.
Simplifying my period was the primary reason why I decided to try the Mooncup - I just couldn't put up with all the stupid little accouterments anymore. However, more importantly, the Mooncup actually works. I was dubious, but was proven totally wrong. I have a heavy period but have never had to use even a panty liner with the Mooncup. Unlike tampons, which can sometimes fit awkwardly and give a strange rubbing sensation, I have never even noticed the Mooncup when it is at work. Finally, the issue of cleanup is straightforward and not at all icky.
The feeling of being liberated from all of the STUFF associated with periods is incredible. No more discreetly trying to slip a tampon into your pocket while excusing yourself to go to the loo. Just pop it in (and out) and go! What joy. Thank you for making such a wonderful product!
