Eowyn and DVAAS
Every year, each Mooncup team member is given a share of the Mooncup funds to donate to a charity of their choice. Éowyn Towers, Mooncup’s Digital Media Manager, explains her choice here:
“Having recently moved back to my home county of Devon, I wanted to donate to a local charity and the DVAAS stood out for me. Their focus is on ‘promoting positive change’, and they’ve been running as a charity since 1974, after being originally set up as South Devon Women’s Aid. Due to the intrinsically hidden nature of domestic abuse, I feel particularly passionate about supporting charities and organisations working in the sector to empower and educate men, women and children – without them there would simply be more people suffering in silence”.
