As a small ethical business selling a one-off purchase, we’ve not got the multi billion pound marketing spend of the disposable sanitary product giants*. We’re committed to not buying into the shame, secrecy or embarassment of old-school feminine hygiene advertising either.

So, while we’ve got to be creative with flexing our marketing budget muscle, since 2010, we’ve been collaborating with St Luke’s advertising agency. They’ve been helping us to crack open a taboo that’s well beyond its sell by date and stir up a bit of mischief along the way….

Tampon vs Mooncup Rap Battle

In 2013, we decided to take the battle to the toilets- our natural habitat! Watch the Mooncup crew take on team Tampon in a rap battle for  periods everywhere: pitting some of the common reactions of users still convinced by tampons and pads against the factual benefits of the Mooncup menstrual cup.

Love Your Vagina Song

Our love your vagina poll received so many pet names that you ‘lovingly call yours’ that we wrote a song about it! From ‘Supersonic Pocket Rocket’ to ‘little man in a canoe’, the 25 names featuring in the song were chosen from the 14,000 different names that were crowdsourced through the poll.

Love Your Vagina Campaign

Whatever you call your vagina, we think it deserves some love. Love your vagina, our first campaign with St Luke’s, saw massive, bold, and beautifully designed posters around the London Underground featuring names that some of us use to lovingly describe our vaginas. ‘Vajajay’, ‘Coochie’, ‘Lady Garden’, ‘Bajingo’ and ‘Fru Fru’, were some of the popular euphemisms featured. Without any branding on the posters, people were directed to the website loveyourvagina.com to find out more.
