Shara and the Rainbow Trust
Every year, each Mooncup team member is given a share of the Mooncup funds to donate to a charity of their choice. Shara, Mooncup’s Dispatch Assistant explains her choice here:
My chosen charity is the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. The Rainbow Trust provides support for families who have a child between 0-18 years that is suffering with a life threatening or terminal illness. There are currently nine teams of Family Support Workers around the country. They provide much needed emotional and practical support for those families that struggle to cope on a day to day basis, both in hospitals and at home. Their work is hugely varied depending on the needs of the family and they consider the whole family – the parents, carers, the unwell child, their siblings and grandparents. I would like to make this contribution towards their continued services and their expansion of more care teams in areas of high demand.
