Amy and FORWARD
Every year, each Mooncup team member is given a share of the Mooncup funds to donate to a charity of their choice. Amy Murrell, Mooncup’s Office Assistant, explains her choice here:
“My chosen charity for 2014 is FORWARD (Foundation for Women’s Health Research and Development) FORWARD is ‘an African Diaspora women led UK-registered campaign and support charity dedicated to advancing and safeguarding the sexual and reproductive health and rights of African girls and women.’
I am very pleased to be able to support their work both here in the UK and in Africa to help ‘end gender based violence in particular female genital mutilation, child marriage and related rights violations’”.
